Best ways to hear about the news in Gainesville
I am a telecommunications news major and it’s easy for me to know about the news but for other people who aren’t news majors it can be more confusing and difficult to find out the news. This is a new city for many people in college but it is still very important to know what is going on around you. *No particular order*
1. WUFT News - the local PBS television station also UF students anchor, report and produce the shows. Mainly local news and some UF news (not much).
2. The Alligator - The University of Florida student-run newspaper. Has many UF related articles, less local news.
3. The Gainesville Sun - the newspaper in Gainesville. It has a lot of articles and prints daily. Also has an online version.
4. TV20 or CBS4 - local television stations other than WUFT News. They are local to Gainesville so you’ll get similar news as WUFT.
